Depending on the thickness of the case it may not register. Most thin/normal size cases will work properly. It may be required to remove the case from the phone to get the charger to work. Wireless charging works by distance, and that distance is very small, and the more obstructions there are the slower the charge will be (wall thickness, thickness of phone cases, pop sockets, etc.).
